Alexander performed for our wedding last summer.  Not only was he an extremely talented musician, but he carried with him an air of dignity and professionalism that far surpassed our expectations.  Within weeks of our request, he had learned an entirely new piece, which he played to perfection for the bridal entrance.  His timing was precise, his rhythm flowed, and he had what most musicians lack: a pure spirit, a frenzied emotional element that is only found in true artists.

Alexander has performed for our guests in our home to rave reviews.  He plays with style and soul, and transforms our humble piano into a concert instrument, sizzling and alive with excellence and passion.  When he plays his own favorite pieces, it is a joy to watch and listen to him … his fingers fly as his music soars and hold his audience captive.

We feel privileged when he entertains us… it is as if we are at our own private concert.

I attended a large memorial service and related celebration of life for a dear friend; Alexander provided the piano accompaniment at both functions.  I cannot adequately describe how wondrous it was to look up at the mountains through the spruce and birch trees while listening to Alexander’s magnificent musical tribute to our friend...

RATES

My fee depends on many factors: the length of the event, its location, time of the year (is it a holiday season, like December, or a less busy time?), etc.

Here are a few guidelines (to find out an exact amount, give me a call at (907) 696-3761):
  • An hour rate for a solo performance: $100-125/hour, with a minimum of 2 hours
  • The whole evening solo performance, regardless of the hours (and I played once as long as 6 hours in a row at a New Year Eve party): $500
  • Bringing a digital piano: $50.  This is a nice looking instrument -- just like the real acoustic upright -- but a heavy one, that requires disassembling at home, assembling at the venue, and then  disassembling and assembling again... hence the extra charge.
  • Partner(s) rates: about the same as mine, depending on who my partner is
  • Location: if it is outside Anchorage or Eagle River, there will be an extra fee... let's discuss it by phone
  • Special requests are free -- unless it is a piece that I have to practice for weeks on end....

To give you a few concrete examples: my solo playing at a typical wedding (without a reception, but with a meeting prior to wedding, to talk about the details) will cost you $250-300; a wedding with a long reception - $400-500; a business reception - $200-250; a memorial- $250-300; a private party at home with my digital piano - $250 and up; a Christmas party - $300-500; and so on:  you do the math...

Your date will be reserved with 50
% deposit.

I make discounts sometimes: mostly for elderly people, war veterans, and non-profit organizations. So again: give me a call, and we'll discuss it.

And one little gift at the end: if my fee exceeds $400, you get a free CD  "Freylakhs for Two"!
